Dear Ms. Sexton and Mrs. Cereghino,

The enclosed report contains comments and recommendations to assist improvement of security for Lakewood Apartments at 655 John Muir Drive in San Francisco. This report is based on a security survey that was conducted there on April 14 and 27 with, and at the request of, Mona Cereghino, President of the Lakewood Tenants’ Association; and also on May 13 with Property Manager Amy Sexton and Area Manager Vickie DeSofi, both from Western National Property Management. All residents and management personnel with whom I communicated expressed their observations and concerns in a constructive manner. Three calls were made to Ms. Amy Sexton during the past week to request a list of security improvements made since the survey visits, no response has been received.

Management personnel were open to the survey and the comments and recommendations offered. They explained that some security improvements are recently completed and others ongoing. This report describes the status of physical security as it was found to be on said dates of the assessment, and also lists improvements that have been made since.

Although no residential security apparatus guarantees prevention of burglaries, these additional measures should enhance the security of Lakewood Apartments. Keep in mind that these are merely recommendations, and that SAFE is not involved in enforcement of any kind. We strongly recommend consulting with your landlord before making any physical modifications to your dwelling.

All persons who request this security assessment agree to hold harmless San Francisco SAFE, its Officers, Directors, agents, and employees harmless for any and all claims resulting from any loss, damage or injury, of any and every nature whatsoever, including special or consequential damages, including attorneys’ and/or experts’ fees by, resulting from, or in any way connected with the information contained in the security assessment.

Sincerely,
